We've got some starter tips for shopping this holiday season, based on the latest Retailer Reportcard from Mind the Store, which ranks retailers based on their use of toxic chemicals, as well as policies they have in place related to toxic chemicals, including in their supply chain.
Surprisingly, some stores that are often perceived as good, like Trader Joes, get a pretty low grade (F), while Walmart, which fails in other departments, fairs well in these rankings (getting an A-) due to efforts to reduce toxic chemicals and improve the sustainability of packaging among their suppliers. And, sadly, Amazon, which handles 50% of e-commerce, gets a D! :-/
